Both Maggie and James have been in the IT and/or training industries for more years than they care to remember. Let’s say Bill Gates was still wearing short trousers when they first started to use computer systems in their business lives.
As many of you have experienced, Maggie's strengths are teaching Word Processing and Absolute Beginners to the PC. She has a very caring, and patient approach whilst being sympathetic to the needs of the more mature learner. That said, she still achieves the course goals and manages to bring all her learners along with her to a satisfactory course conclusion. And if you've attended one of our one-day courses you will have enjoyed the lunch provided. You'll know she is a great host also.
James divides his time between teaching and carrying out PC support tasks in people’s homes. After completing his full-time studies he moved into a college lecturing role teaching business studies and IT subjects. Later he moved into various IT companies - ICL, Sphinx, Comtec and the CourseWare Company - where he worked selling, supporting, and training all things IT. For the last 25 years he has worked with PC's and all the iterations of Microsoft Windows, up to and including XPtm and the latest release Windows 7tm.
He is as happy under the bonnet of a PC as with taking a group of leaners over an extensive rage of PC topics - Word Processing, Excel spreadsheets, image manipulation, desk top publishing and Sage accounting to name but a few.
James has been an enthusiastic amateur photographer for many years and like many people has "gone digital". So impressed with this technology he has launched the North Cotswolds Digital Camera Club in order to share his enthusiasm.
